The Euler Tercentenary for highschools

In the course of his long career, Euler wrote many influential textbooks on a broad variety of subjects and contributed significantly to shaping the way in which mathematics and physics are taught to the present day. It is therefore appropriate that the Euler Tercentenary should include some offers for students and teachers at highschools. The following ideas have been proposed:

• teaching aids for lessons starting from topics present in Euler's work
• voluntary Euler workshops for highschool students, tutored by academic experts
• Euler lectures in vocational training programs for highschool teachers
• a pool of expert advisors for matriculation papers in mathematics and physics

Teachers who are interested in collaborating in the implementation of these proposals are asked to approach the Program Committee.
